Cool people and their Cheeky bikes

Yeah, I saw this photo in the paper and I couldn’t help feeling a bit cynical about it. It’s a great photo op for Rich to show just how far he’s fallen — my god, he’s reduced to riding a bicycle! (And you can’t go much lower than that, can you?)
OK, I’m sure he’s a regular cyclist but I couldn’t help feeling that turning up on a bike all suited-and-tied for a court appearance smacks (perhaps just a little) of a media stunt. It worked too – it got his picture in the paper.
That said, it demonstrates that there’s no real reason why more people couldn’t ride to important appointments like this. Although I don’t think I’d pick Jodee Rich as the poster-boy for utility cycling … or anything else really.

I once worked for that man. It seemed like gimmicks without substance come naturally to him.
If your office has fish tanks in it, watch out, they might have been taken out of the wages account…
