Introduced by Clover Moore MP, Lord Mayor of Sydney, the first City Talk for 2009 invites York City’s Commissioner of Transportation Janette Sadik-Khan (video presentation) and Professor Peter Newman from Curtin University’s Sustainability Policy Institute to share their experiences on transforming car-filled cities to people-friendly spaces, with room for transport, cyclists and walking. A lively panel discussion with key spokespeople on cycling and healthy lifestyle options will follow the presentations and answer your questions.
