Advocacy Lessons from Melbourne, Adelaide and New York

March 23rd, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

This Thursday March 25, Surry Hills Library, 7-9pm

Why should advocates consider giving up the term ‘cyclist’? How are sustainable transport advocates in the US, using bookclubs to foster public debate? What does the way that Japanese people share space have to do with bike paths? All this and more will be discussed at the first BIKESydney Brainstrust.

In 2010 BIKESydney wants to provide bike advocates with opportunities to share knowledge, ideas and solutions. At our first gathering Adrian Emilsen, David Broella and Elaena Gardner will present summaries of advocacy related presentations from recent conferences they have attended.

Bring a USB stick or blank DVD to take away copies of the presentations and papers from the conferences.

All welcome. Gold coin donation to help cover room hire costs appreciated.
