Nick has been furiously beavering away on organising a whole bunch of awesome events surrounding the innaugural Australian Brompton Champs.
We will be doing a short ride after work on saturday Oct 18 for pizza and scenic views and drinks. All Brompton riders are welcome!

October is a great time for cycling in Sydney, and as well as all the action of the Brompton Australian Championship, the 2014 Cycling and Wellbeing Festival and the Sydney Rides Festival will be making the city a great place to ride.
As well as the Championship, we’ll be staging a social event on October 18th for Brompton racers to get together, and a celebration afterwards on the evening of the 19th.
Racing or not, all Bromptonauts are welcome to join in the following events:
Saturday 18 October – Welcome to Sydney Pizza Ride from Cheeky
If you’re travelling from interstate or overseas to race, we’d like to welcome everyone to Sydney with a ride and get-together.
We’ll be meeting at Cheeky Transport, 3a Georgina St Newtown at 4pm on Saturday the 18th, and riding to Batty St Park at Rozelle for fantastic pizza from Rosso Pomodoro and drinks from the Bald Rock Hotel, and a glorious view over the harbour and city as the sun sets.
Sunday 19 October – Ferry To Homebush
There’s lots of ways to get to Olympic Park , but by far the most scenic is via the ferry along the Parramatta River.
Depending on where you’re travelling from, you can either meet us at Cheeky Transport, 3a Georgina St Newtown at 9am on Sunday the 19th or at Darling Harbour Wharf 3 in time to catch the 9.50 ferry to Olympic Park
Sunday 19 October - Concordia Club Tempe
We’ll be celebrating the conclusion of a successful championships at the Concordia Club in Tempe from 4pm or so on the 19th. It’s a lovely leisurely ride along the Cooks River Cyclewayfrom Olympic Park to Tempe, or a short hop from Marrickville or Tempe Train Station
