New shop at 3a Georgina St newtown. 3 shops down from the corner of King st

Old shop at Central

Cheeky Monkey Cycle Company opened up Christmas 1999 to service the needs of urban  and transport cyclists. Commuters, couriers, students, travellers and any other people who use their bikes for transport.

Our shop focus is on quality repairs, durable parts and functional accessories for urban and transport cycling.

We like citybikes, loadcarriers, trailers, folding bikes and recumbents. We can make you a cool messenger bike.

We reckon that there aren't many bike shops that support transport cyclists. Most bike shops love the recreational cyclists, who buy their bikes and drive somewhere to go for a ride, if they ride them at all. We think that bikes are the best way to get around and would like to encourage more people to use bikes for trips to the movies, shopping, work or whatever. The more people there are riding, the more presssure there will be for cycling infrastrucurethere and the better it will be for all mankind!

We are getting a bit more environmentally friendly as part of my new years resolutions.

We are going to recycle as much of our packaging as we can. We will not be buying any more plastic bags to put purchases in, so please remember to bring your own if you need one. We will have some reused packaging and nice Cheeky Monkey musettes if you get desperate. Save the dolphins !

Your dead aluminium rims have been recycled for a while, and we will try to recycle more of other metals too.

There has been no way to recycle tyres and tubes until now. Fortunately for us all, a nice guy named Laslow now collects all of our used tyres and sells them back to us as cool belts to hold our pants up. We have skinny roadie ones and big thick knobby tyre belts in stock.

Anyway, there are a few people involved, including
