Things are getting pretty crazy here in the workshop, and we are running out of storage area too so I thought I’d give you a headsup.

This year we are highjacking /attending the awesome Cargobike picnic being organised by Bike Sydney and the Watershed.  From the BikeSydney website there is heaps of cool stuff happening.

We built up a handsome pair of Surly Long Haul Truckers for Nic and Emma earlier in the year, and they sent us some photos from on the road in Morocco. Follow their ongoing adventures at http://nicoandemma.com/.

Lee came to us with a nice old 27″ roadster with some great, comfortable bars and shifters, but a flogged out drive-train and a bent down-tube. The brief was to recapture the spirit of the old bike, and give Lee a solid, comfy commuter that was also a  ’Dad-bike’ for daycare drop-offs and playgroup runs.

The 2011 Fuji Touring worked out great. We transferred the whole bar, stem and controls, including the gorgeous old Dia Compe Brake-levers and classic Suntour Power-Ratchet shifters straight across from the old bike, and added a Brooks Flyer, some VO Aluminium guards and Bobike Mini and built one of my most favourite of our recent new bikes.
