Maintenance Courses
We run scheduled maintenance classes every three months. Our courses are small, hands-on, so you can really learn how to do things (and remember them). We focus the course on the needs and bikes of the attendees.
We can also show you how to build your own bike. One-on-one instruction, using our tools, is $80 an hour. This can be useful if you’re planning a big trip on a complicated new bike – we helped a couple familiarise themselves with the intricacies of their new separable tandem before a big tour. Call us to make a booking.
Our regular classes won’t tell you how to use every tool in the Park Master Mechanic Kit, but we can do the following..
Wednesday Nov 10. Gears – Change a cable and adjust rear gears. Barrel adjusters.
Wednesday Nov 17. Brakes - Change a cable and fit/adjust v brake pads. Barrel adjusters.
6:30pm-8:00pm class of 4 . $50 per course. Full payment required up front for a booking.
We have a strict no refunds, no cancellations policy for these sessions, just so people don’t miss out on the few spots.
BYO your own bike, a notepad and clothes that you can get dirty in.
