The Fuji Touring has been one of our favourite bikes for a long time. They’re an excellent value steel frame with comfortable touring specific geometry and broad gearing. The bikes come with a rear pannier rack included, and forks drilled for a front rack for $1250.
We’ve customised alot of Fujis in different ways. The threaded headset allows easy adjustment and can give bars a big, comfortable lift upwards.
Often customers prefer MTB bike style gear and brake levers and a flat or ‘butterfly’ style bar. If we’re changing bars and controls, it’s a opportunity to replace the standard crankset and chainrings (50/39/30) with a mountain bike chainset (44/32/22) to push the gearing down as low as possible – something we always endorse for loaded touring bikes. Depending on the choices you’d like to make, a customised Fuji would cost around $1800-2000.
