Fuji Touring

The Fuji Touring has been one of our favourite bikes for a long time. They’re an excellent value steel frame with comfortable touring specific geometry, broad gearing and a neat control set-up with Tiagra STIs and secondary ‘interruptor’ brake levers. The bikes come with a basic rear pannier rack included, and forks drilled for a front rack. The standard configuration is $1400.

We’ve customised alot of Fujis in different ways. The older style threaded headset allows easy adjustment of the bar position and replacing the standard stem with a Nitto Technomic or FU82 can give bars a big, comfortable lift upwards.

Often customers prefer MTB bike style gear and brake levers and a flat or ‘butterfly’ style bar. If we’re changing bars and controls, it’s a opportunity to replace the standard crankset and chainrings (52/42/30) with a mountain bike chainset (44/32/22) to push the gearing down as low as possible – something we always endorse for loaded touring bikes. Depending on the choices you’d like to make, a customised Fuji would cost around $1800-2000.
