Surly are an American company who design steel frames that are made in Taiwan. Cheeky Transport can build you a custom bike with your choice of components based on a Surly frame. Some frames are available pre-built as complete bikes with components chosen by Surly. Cheeky Transport has an immense amount experience with Surly bikes and frames.

All of Surly’s frames are 4130 CroMo steel. Steel has a lot of allure as frame material. Like Surly say, when was the last time you saw a spring made of aluminium? Most of the bikes that all of us ride every day are steel. As well as everything else, there’s the undeniable aesthetic factor. Aluminium alloy frames need big oval or rectangular-ish tubes to hold their strength. Steel frame tubing can be slender, elegant and beautiful. Models

Long Haul Trucker, Complete $1800, Frame $660 – Surly’s expedition touring frame. All frame sizes offer the option of 26″ wheels. Sizes 56cm and above also available in 700c. Troll,  Complete $2000 (Purple, Black, Orange), Frame $750 (Black, Orange) – 26″ Mountain / Tourer / Rohloff – The Troll is based on the proven single-speed mountain bike geometry of the classic Surly 1 x1, but reconfigured with more a more versatile drop-out and set of anything and everything braze ons. Use it as a mountain bike, as a cruiser, commuter or touring rig. Use it as your go-to utility tractor. Try out different tires or handlebars. Add some racks and gears or strip it down to a singlespeed drivetrain. Take it camping, ride it to the grocery store or session on your favorite single-track. Ogre,  Complete $2200 (Army Green), Frame $800 (Black, Army Green) - 29er Mountain / Tourer / Rohloff. As the 1×1 is to the Troll, so the Surly Karate Monkey is to the Ogre. If that’s slightly too oblique for you, the Ogre is the 29er counterpart to the Troll. Bigger 700c wheels with fat mountain bike tyres, same super versatile do everything design philosophy.
