Tout Terrain are an established German touring bike company whose bikes we’ve admired for a long time. It’s very exciting for us that they’re now available in Australia.
We’re stocking the Silkroad ‘Silver’ Rohloff for $4200. To our knowledge it’s currently the only complete Rohloff equipped touring bike available in Australia.
The bikes we’ve got don’t come equipped with the Brooks saddle, front rack and dynamo as shown above, but depending on your preferences those components can be added for around $6-800.

The Silkroad is the ultra-robust bike for cyclists. When it was designed the “less is more” principle was the main focus. By integrating the rack into the mainframe weak points you typically find on most bikes (like braze-ons and screws) are eliminated offering greater strength at the same time. The geometry of the rack is a stress optimized design. By the integration of the rack into the main frame the weight could be reduced and the resistance increased at the same time.
It has been possible to further optimise the luggage rack through the use of new tube materials. The chain adjustment is enhanced by a new, weight optimised eccentric mechanism.
